It's that time of year. So, let's talk about, instead of New Year's resolutions, let's talk about your wish list. So on this episode of The Sorority with Jessica Mystic, your host here, Jessica, you guessed it, your crazy, wacky, wild, wonderful host, here we go.
We're going to talk today a little bit more on, instead of New Year's resolutions, we're going to talk about your wish list. I want to talk about your wishlist. And I know with the holidays and everyone's like, Oh, your wishlist. No, I'm serious. Like let's make a fucking wishlist for next year. We're going to work on unlocking clarity and mapping your path.
This is about activity and activation. But in order to do that, we need to get deep. And we do a little bit of some, you know, like a mindset reset, kind of clean that shit out. We're going to do some mind mapping, some visualization. This is really going to be an exercise for you to anchor in to the energies that you are putting into this year.
2024 for you, like numerology wise, 2024 equals an eight. Like that is a fucking number of abundance. Let's just start there. Like eights are huge. This is an incredible sign that this Is your year. If you hit your goal last year, you're gonna surpass or double it this year. Let's go. I want you to dream big.
I want you to lean into possibility. And if you're just starting out, I want you to know that whatever, whatever sparked your heart, and whatever you feel might be a bit of a pipe dream, lean into it because it's fucking possible.
And how we're going to make that happen is getting your mind right. So, let's really get into, like, one of the most basic things we're going to start with.
And, you know, I hate saying basic because we know I'm far from fucking basic, but one of the basic things I want you to do, and everyone says it, but nobody does it. And everyone hears it and knows it's a thing, but nobody does it. I want you to sit down today and I want you to list out 100 Things that you are grateful for.
And I know that sounds like a really like, ooh, standard thing to start with. No, I'm dead fucking serious. You're gonna get a pen and paper, preferably a nice colored pen, because it makes it more enjoyable. And if you're like me and you want to be really crazy, you can switch that color up based on the thing you're writing.
I don't know if you like color coding shit, but I love that shit. Because we like to multitask, we like to make things more complicated. So play with some colored pens, get a piece of paper, I don't care if it's a scrap shitty piece of paper or the back of an envelope in your kitchen like I do sometimes, or one of my numerous notebooks.
Grab something, right, well you grab it right now, you can get started while you're listening if you want, but I want you to list out 100 Things you are grateful for. And I'm not kidding. 100 things. They can be anything from your health, can be grateful for your sense of hearing and how it allows you to connect with others and communicate in this world.
You're grateful for your voice. Maybe you're grateful for the home you live in. Maybe you're grateful for your situation. Maybe you're grateful for a lesson that you learned. Maybe you're grateful for certain people support. There are so many things in this world to be grateful for. And I assure you when you align with the energy of gratitude.
You become way more open to receiving and you actually walk the path of joy versus the pack of this path of despair and lack in life. So let's start this year off strong. And you're going to make that list of a hundred things you're grateful for. Very important activity from that list. And once you're writing this list, I'm sure that you're going to lean in here or see, or imagine where that can improve.
or how far something's come. So when you're grateful, for example, for me, when I say I'm so grateful for a good night's sleep, I'm grateful for the fact that my children are happy and healthy and have grown up to a point where they're sleeping through the night and they're happy and we have a good routine in place that's Well, you know, and I'm grateful for the yes days.
See how it starts to roll and change? You start thinking. I want you to think about the things you're writing. Don't just slam it out. Think about what you're writing and reflect on each thing you're writing. And
when you write down something you're grateful for and you're reflecting on it, the feeling that it's giving you There's different depths to gratitude, you guys, and when you can anchor into that feeling, the way you feel it in your body, that tingling sensation, that immense happiness that like explodes, the tightness in your cheeks as you begin to smile, these are the things that signal to the universe what more you are attracting to you right now.
And you might even start to well up with such joy because you are so proud of how far you've come.
I think of my students, and I think of the clients I've worked with, I think of all the people I've met along the way, and just the deep, sincere connections that I've made that I'm grateful for, and that's what brings a tear to my eye.
I think of the results I've gotten with some of my clients, and when I'm doing permanent makeup, like, there's so many levels to this, so I really want you to take joy in this. When you're doing this list, and that's how you're going to start your mindset reset is just by reprogramming What you're feeling and what what energy and frequency you are truly anchoring into right now now Along with this this is more than a vision board Because this right now, what you see in your mind's eye and what you're feeling in your body, this is way more powerful than just a vision board.
If you want to go that route, you want to make a Pinterest board, you want to find an excuse to go down a rabbit hole and stare at a bunch of shit and clip out a bunch of things, go for it. If that's what brings you joy, not recommend, not recommended or necessary. But if that's part of your process, I mean, how about her?
I do love a good Pinterest board binge once in a while, I won't lie. But you know, really anchoring in to the gratitude. And the reason I want you to do this first is we get so caught up in what we haven't done yet. We get so caught up on what was missing, on what was left unfinished, on what was forgotten.
We beat ourselves up over the stupidest things. We didn't lose the weight. We didn't take the trip. We didn't hit this goal. We didn't make this much in sales. We didn't do this or that or the other thing, but there's always something we're picking apart because that's just whatever our ego loves to pick us apart and we're human.
Right? There's two both sides. We're human. It happens. But I really want you to anchor into this because the next part of this exercise is, it's one that you're going to resist. If you're already resisting doing the gratitude list, because you're like, fuck, I know they're like, some of us love making lists.
So here's an excuse to make a long list. A hundred things to be grateful for. Take it or leave it. From there, now we're going to get into a different section. So before we get into this next part, if you have any rose quartz with you, if you don't have rose quartz, I'm sure you know what it is. It's a pink stone.
I really highly recommend getting some because when we're doing journaling and deep work and we need to find compassion for ourselves, rose quartz is one of the most easily accessible and available crystals out there to work with. And as you're doing these, I can also recommend some fluorite, blue clionide, things that help you with clarity and focus and intention setting.
Citrine is amazing for goal setting, by the way. These are my top four in this instance. But I want you to sit with, if you have a crystal in your home, sit with it. And I want you to ask, if you don't have a crystal, just close your eyes, take a few deep breaths. And I mean breathing into your belly. through your nose, out your mouth.
I don't want you to release it and ask. I ask that you help me see the truth in every situation. So as we're reflecting here, I really want you to call in to whomever or whatever you believe in. I want you to anchor into the energy of the universe and I want you to really pull these answers from deep within you.
Because this is where the real work needs to be done. I can teach you strategy. I can teach you sales. I can teach you all that masculine energy to do list shit that you love to check off that makes you feel so good inside. But if you don't do this part, it all doesn't mean shit. And you're just going to keep doing it on repeat.
That's why you're so busy doing all these things. And not getting anywhere, because you're keeping busy to avoid doing the shit we're about to do right here. So this is how we're kicking it off fucking strong. When they say you start with a bang, like, this is the big bang. Like, let's go. We all know that I'm fucking gray, and I know you're just as gray as me.
So let's get into it and do it right.
You know like when you get a new planner, and you're scared to write in it and fuck up because you don't want to have to white out what you wrote in it, because then it messes up the new planner? It's like that blank page anxiety. Yeah, well, enough of it. Let's do this.
Are you ready? Okay, sisters,
I want you to ask yourself what your fears are, and I want you to get real. What are your fears? Everyone's, oh, I know, I'm afraid. No, what are your fears around money? What are you so scared of that it's blocking you from getting what you truly want and desire? What are your fears around money?
What is the story here?
What is your fear around success? What are your fears around making it to that next stage? Like, and you might not realize that you are actually afraid to make more. You're afraid to be seen. You're afraid to be heard. But what is it that you're so afraid of that's holding you back?
You know that you're sitting there and you're like, Oh, fuck, like I just have this block. That block is the fear that you're avoiding. Because you're too busy filling your schedule with a bunch of other shit trying to get ahead so you don't have to do this list. This is the list that's gonna change your fucking life.
For example, like my fears. You know, what were my fears are making money that I'll die before I get to use it or enjoy it. I have a lot of health anxieties.
Are you afraid that all that you've invested isn't going to work or that's been wasted? Maybe you've been kind of maybe it's overspent. Maybe you've made a lot of investments and you're just afraid that you won't make it back and it'd be seen as a failure and you've put your family through all this financial hardship.
Maybe you're afraid that. You'll be judged by your significant other. Maybe you're afraid that your mom is going to be mad at you for being in debt still. Maybe you're afraid to be seen as a child who doesn't know how to manage her money when really you're a grown ass adult who knows how to invest in himself betterment and growing her business.
Maybe you're just afraid of debt because you hear it so bad. Debt isn't bad, by the way. Debt buys you time. If you're smart on what you're spending your money on. Spend money on what makes you money. There's a pro tip right there. Maybe you're afraid of being seen as being greedy or desperate. Maybe you're afraid of not being taken seriously.
Maybe you're afraid of coming off as a pompous prick because you're too rich. Maybe you're just afraid. that you're going to be judged or ripped apart. Maybe you're afraid of being cancelled. What are your fears? What are you so afraid of? Now, if this is really hard for you, I invite you to cry. I invite you to take a hot shower afterwards.
I invite you to do whatever it is you need to do to make this list and then step away. Step away from it and come back. Because when you get deep like that, it's going to do some shit. It's going to do some shit. But this is so important. You need to know what that fear is. You need to acknowledge it. So we can move through it.
You might never get over it. We all have fear. It's completely normal. You just have to choose growth. Overfear. That's the key right there. Now, what's your favorite? We're gonna flip the script here. Now that we've gone deep and we've gotten to the ugly, we did the gratitudes, we started off strong, we got into the scary, gross, oh my god, here we go shit.
Now I want you to anchor into what your favorite things are. What's the fav what are your favorite ways to experience joy in the day? Make a list on that. What are your favorite ways to make money? Like, if you look at all the services that I've offered, everything from permanent makeup, tattooing, paramedical, my favorite way to make money is by giving other women opportunities to shine alongside me, to rise up with me, and to see them succeed.
Their success story, that's what I like to see. That's my favorite way to make money, is to see other people succeeding too. And services, my favorite way to make money was paramedical tattooing. I did body art tattoos for Almost 15 years, I was an award winning Canadian colour artist, and I mean, I loved, I love colouring, I love tattooing, but what I loved so much about it, my favourite way to make money when I really deconstructed it was by using my skills and my abilities to help another person feel better about themselves.
And when I got to the root of that's when I realised I had to make this podcast. That's when I realised I had to use my voice. and motivate and inspire and show others what's possible. That's when I realized where my true mission and my true work really lies. So these, this is an example of how these lists are going to open up so many more doors for you.
Cause when I first made these lists, I made lists like this two years ago. And for example, I actually had it pulled out here.
So I had on my list, my favorite ways to make money were paramedical, tattooing, healing people, teaching, inspiring, selling crafts, to make money in my sleep. and to feel to make money without feeling overworked. So favorite ways to make money, my favorite ways when I deconstruct this now, my favorite ways to make money are by still teaching and inspiring people.
My favorite way to make money is to be selling with intention and integrity. I all my favorite way to make money in my sleep. I love this one because it's still true. I love to make money. Without needing to hustle and grind and go through that constant state of stress and heightened survival overwhelm trying to push my way through and prove myself as a person.
I love to make money the same way that I love to live with joy. And then I want you to assess when you look at all these ways you like to make money. Ask yourself, what is your favorite way to buy? Because everyone that you're selling to. Your ideal client, ideally, is an extension or a version of yourself, correct?
Because that's who you understand and know you're talking to, or someone that you've known or worked with or a client. Whoever you're speaking to, their favorite way to buy is a way you're going to be able to relate. So what are your favorite ways to buy? I love gifts. Gift giving is my love language, and I also love receiving gifts.
So, gifts with purchase. You know, things like this. I want you to write down your favorite ways to buy. So when you start reflecting from gratitude, when you go into gratitude, anchor into gratitude and what you're grateful for, what you're calling in, establishing what your fears are and those beliefs that you need to release, and then anchor back into those favorite ways for you to, to experience life, to grow, to make money, to buy.
When you make these kinds of lists, This is the mind mapping that's going to make you more money and make you more available to receive what's coming to you in this new year.
This is something where I call it my energy leak checklist, where this is the magic. In fact, we can even use the acronym magic. Let's do it. So your energy leak checklist, okay. M morning rituals. I do a gratitude list every morning, three to five things that I'm grateful for every single morning. Minimum. I don't even count them anymore because I just list them.
I just list them out in my planner. I use my mindful magic weekly productivity planner and I have daily where I do a morning ritual where I sit down and I have my coffee. I like to decaf coffee and my decaf coffee because I already have too much hype in this head. I don't need any more go go. I've got enough of the go go.
I don't need like a full cup of joe. I sit down and I get my gratitude out. I part my morning ritual. I set my intentions for the day.
A affirmations align yourself with the energy of success. An opportunity to make more money and to create your most magical life. So whatever you need to say to yourself that day, what is your, it can be as simple as I am strong.
I am successful. I love strong. I am statements like they are just rooted into your root chakra.
So just like I am, I am grateful that you just did your gratitude list. I am grateful. I am smart. I am intelligent. I am capable of anything. I can do hard things. I am a lot. I am awesome. I am incredible. And you can continue with this, like just using, you don't have to be crazy, complicated, just simple affirmations that you can tell yourself that morning, but you want to put that out into the universe.
So morning ritual, affirmations, and then G, I want you to get outside and connect to nature in some way. So whether or not it's a short walk, park your van or vehicle a little far away from the kids. School at drop off. Go walk them to school and then walk your ass back. Like, find ways to connect. If you can't make 15 minutes, a walk doesn't need to take an hour.
I mean, it's nice if you can go lollygag, take your time. Fucking do your thing, but even a 15 minute walk around the block, take a walk, get outside. If you can't walk and you just need a hot minute, I've even gone outside in the mornings, 5am, it's really dark, you can still see the stars. I put on my winter jacket because it's freezing ass cold that time of the morning here.
I go outside and I stand there and I look up at the sky, take a few deep breaths and I anchor into the energy of the earth and what is around me. And the fact that I have a yard, I can walk into it anytime I feel like I'm safe. I'm safe. I am grounded. I am here. I am present. These are all part of my morning routine.
They're really easy to implement. Don't be complicated. All right. I is implementation. Actually doing this shit. It's pretty straightforward. Take some action, big or small, so you can actually move towards that goal that you set for yourself and see, just connect.
Connecting is so important. If you are disassociating.
You're overworked, you're stressed, and you're burning out. You need to make effort to connect and to reconnect and hold yourself accountability for the connections that you make to yourself and others and clients and in this world. Connection takes effort, especially if you're a weird, wacky, wonderful starseed motherfucker like me connecting.
Sometimes takes a little effort, so make sure you set time to connect or reconnect with yourself and your surroundings.
You want to be able to take moments to reflect. Journal, I highly recommend pen on paper. Get that shit out, even if it's messy and you can't read it. When you add a physical action, of the action of releasing.
It's like when you burn something, same thing. You need a physical action to get it out of your head, out of your system, move it out of your body. So that's
my energy leak checklist, magic, m a g i c, morning rituals, affirmation, get outside, implementation, and connection. Because the real magic happens when we choose to cast from the power of our self, of our inner self, of our true purpose, to anchor into why we're here.
and what our mission is.
And this is the mindset reset we need. We can get a lot deeper and we will going forward. This is just your Monday activation activity. So I want you to start here. I want to see those lists, post them to your feed with Facebook, Instagram, take a video on the talk. Don't care what it is, post it, tag me.
Let me know if you're enjoying it. I'd love to see the comments. You can subscribe on YouTube and comment on there. You can also leave a review for this podcast. Let me know what you thought of this exercise. I love you much. Many blessings and I hope that you find some clarity with this today. Until next time, Sistar.
