02.27 Jeska + Brenda
===
[00:00:00] Welcome you to the sorority. Thank you. I'm excited to be here. Yes, sister. So, Brenda, tell me, tell me, energetics. Let's talk energetics, because that's your jam. Yeah, that's your jam. I think it's really interesting, because when I met you in September, well, there's two things. Instantly, I was like, ooh, there's a Canadian here.
Hey, because every time you find, like, another Canadian, it's like, Canada. I'm like, hey, we're here. Yeah, it's just like, oh, oh, okay, we're here. We're doing it. And then I was like, well, and you're the energy mentor. What's funny is I actually remember. This time last year, when you were on a podcast that I was listening to, and I started seeing a lot of signs, and I was listening to the podcast that you were talking about signs, and this was a time when I was coming out of the Jessica Rabbit phase, moving into Jessica Mystic.
There was literally so many dead rabbit roadkill on this highway we were [00:01:00] driving to Calgary. And I was like, what's with the dead rabbits? Like, and of course I'm like, anxiety, I'm going to die is what I'm thinking. I'm like, I'm not going to make it home. And then it came to me. No, Jessica rabbit died. I became Jessica mystic.
And it was, that's the whole, but on the time that I learned of you and fell in love and then I met you that September, I was like, Oh, how serendipitous. You know what? It really is in signs. Like, obviously I love signs. I love the energy. I love the subconscious. Like that's what I do. And it's interesting.
Because your mind first went to seeing all the dead rabbits and going, Oh, I'm going to die. No, there's an aspect of you that is no longer and it's leaving. But as human beings, we always tend to focus on the worst case scenario or the outcome that we don't want instead of what we do want. And so when it comes to asking for signs and working with signs and all the things, it's really important to recognize that.
Every [00:02:00] sign is individual to what you're going through. So when people are like, I keep seeing 555, what does it mean? The first thing out of my mouth is, what does it mean to you? What were you thinking of? There are general guidelines of like 555 can mean transformation or challenge or whatever. But it's like, What's your energy saying?
Where's, what's going on in your life? What did you ask in your head before you saw that? It's very important to think about, okay, like what, what is going on in my life? What was I thinking of? What am I doing every time I see one, one, one, like for me, one, one, one is a classic manifestation number. So anytime I see one, one, one, or 11, 11.
That is my sign to make sure my thoughts are clear and clean and reminded me, like, don't focus on what you don't want. [00:03:00] What do you, what are you worrying about? So I love the story of like, I kept seeing, I don't love that you were seeing dead rabbits, but you know, but our energy. And I say this all the time, energy speaks before our mouth even opens.
And so there's the energetic of business. There's the energetics of life. It's like how many times, and people are always like, well, it's my intuition or my inner guidance. Yeah. Sometimes, but you know, when we walk into a room and you have that feeling because somebody's in it, you don't, that's your energy is talking.
It doesn't like it. It's like, I don't like that. So let's go over here. Does our intuition and inner guidance kick in? Yeah, obviously, but energy speaks first. And there's very much a duality with it, because as you mentioned, when you get a sign and you initially have one thought, you're going to have one thought that scares you, [00:04:00] one thought that excites you.
So the key is to actually look at the two things that come up, I find, because What are you searching for? And if you're always in that fight or flight mode, you're going through like survival mode, and you're always struggling with anxiety like I often do, I have to go, Wait a minute. I tend to jump to this out of habit, but yeah, what was I thinking about?
And that's like, or I take it as a sign of, to correct this, here's the sign to do that. Well, of course I was anxious because I was also living in the past, and I wasn't letting go of something, right? So both are equal, and at the same time, I then see, Four is my yes number, so four is my yes, you're progressing, yes, it's like a lucky number.
Especially in business, fours come up for me a lot. I call that your power number, mine is five. My power number, so fours are for me, it's my power number. So anytime I get a four, it's a yes, it's a yep, it's happening, it's going. For me, 111, which I do see a lot, is more of, like, it's just like a nod for me, like, yep.
And it is what we're, it is more the [00:05:00] thought, like I'll be thinking, oh I wonder if I should, and they'll be like, yep, be like, okay, I'm on the right path. I'm on the right, it's just like a, it's a start. It's a wink from the universe. Right, it's a wink. But I do get that a lot even with private clients, they're just like, well what does it mean in the message, what does it mean?
You're like, we get in such a habit of searching For the right answer for everything, because we're so scared to get it wrong, that I think we often miss a lot of what's being said. And that's why people are so disconnected with their energy, because they think, I can't understand energy if I go to church.
And you're like, God frequency is one big energy. Like it doesn't make you any better or worse. Like there's different frequencies. So when business, you know, money, love a customer's like appreciation, like all the different laws of visibility and reciprocity and attraction, like those are all frequencies.
Energy's scientific fact. It can't be, [00:06:00] and everyone's like, well, I'm not holistic. I can't, I can't do that. You don't have to be a registered healer to have energy. No, we all have it. And I think the other thing, and I love where the stuff you're saying so much of us, like living and growing up and doing all the things is we get taught to look for answers outside of ourselves.
But when it comes to science, I'm always telling people like, go inward first. But so many of us have lived in survival mode for our whole entire lives, going inwards really hard. We don't hear it. We can't feel it. We don't know what it's like to be in our bodies. And so the signs, yeah, the signs are just there as helpful validation.
It's like when I'm teaching clients how to tune into their intuition and their inner guidance, it's like I teach this swaying technique, so their whole body is like working Like yes or no, but also understanding like our intuition will drop in and our [00:07:00] inner guidance is always a physical feeling that no, no feeling in our gut or whatever.
And it's very interesting because intuition, inner guidance, energy, it's never going to give you a fear based reality. It's never going to jump in and go, Oh, this is, this is horrible. This is what's going to happen. That's our human mind doing that. And you explained it beautifully. You're like, you know, I have the anxiousness, so I have to step out and go, Whoa, wait, let me look at this in a different way, but our systems, our energy, Oh my God, it's this way.
I love what I do. It can make life so much easier. when you learn to kind of work with all of the systems that you have. It's like, Oh, I get to work with my energy. [00:08:00] Oh, cool. Let's just start baby steps. Anybody listening, do you know what your no, no feeling is? Mine is that like, I get this thing in the pit of my stomach and I feel like I'm going to vomit on myself.
When that comes up, I'm sitting there Okay. That's a no. What if something, my yes feeling One, if I doubt it, I'll see fives like you see the fours, but the feeling I have feels very light and it's in my chest and it's expansive, like it's different. Yes, tingly. And I'm like, Oh yeah, this just feels good. So it's about kind of just getting to know yourself in the beginning.
And even when it comes to the energetics of business, right? How many times, and we've all done it. Have you been scrolling on Instagram or you see somebody talking? And you're just looking at them and the messaging [00:09:00] they have sounds like it should make sense, but the energy behind it isn't there. And so the energetics of the message are getting all convoluted, and you're just like, that person doesn't even believe in what they're selling.
They don't even believe in what they're saying, or they're not confident in it, or they're not clear on what they're actually creating. Or they're like yelling it at you. You're just like, what? You're like, but I don't do that. But they make you feel almost bad because it's that pressure y version sometimes.
You're like, what's happening? Why are you pressuring me with advice? Yeah, it's wild. And that's one of the things, like when I'm working with people, we'll go through offers that they're doing. And I mean, we have a mutual friend, Tiffany, we went through one of her offers last year. And I remember reading it and I was just like, you don't even speak like this.
And I know where her head was at when she was writing the content. And so then she was [00:10:00] able to like change it up and it changed the whole dynamic of the program. But we get in this mode of like, Oh, I have to say it like this, I have to do it like this, or we're not fully clear on what we're creating. You don't have clarity, you're not going to have the confidence.
If you don't have clarity, your energy is not going to match. You know, it's, it's funny. Cause I've recently done like this whole, like part of me died with my dog passed away recently. And it's been this whole like, okay, evolution. And I've been working with energy in a different way. So like with anxiety, I wholeheartedly believe anxiety is all from the neck up.
It's all in your head. Because you feel it, you get a body response because you rise your cortisol levels and just on a scientific level, but when you're anxious, it's here. And when doing breath work, when you think of like, anxiety and excitement, they are the same frequency. Anxiety and excitement are the same frequency, but when you're experiencing anxiety, you're overthinking, you're experiencing it up here because you're trying to over rationalize something that's [00:11:00] new and scary and afraid.
But when you're actually connected to your body, that anxiety sinks in and becomes excitement because you're like moving forward. So to me, when I'm anxious, I know I'm too much in my head and I'm not in my body. Because if I'm physically afraid, if there's actually a threat, You would be, you'd be damn aware.
Like that's, that's the fight or flight. You're like, oh, like you'll feel that, like it's a big no no feeling. Now what's interesting is when you're used to being in your head all the time, because I've been doing this program once with survival mode with one of my other coaches, and doing the breath work, coming out of that and having space, I'm not anxious, but I've been feeling it in my body.
And that's where I use, like, Your Grounding. You have your energy. Yeah, I'll give you the link for that, too. People can download that. It's literally four and a half minutes. It'll change your mind. Yeah, well, even, like, yeah, you can go, it's in, it's in your link tree, isn't it? On your IG? Yes, it is. Yes, it is.
You can check it out there. It's not long. But even just the tapping, that was a huge thing for me when I met you. And, like, I knew of [00:12:00] tapping, but just knowing when to use it to remind me, like, I am here and I'm present. As simple as tapping pulls you down, and you're like, okay, And it's interesting to see, like, where energy gets stuck.
And you think of, like, the scrambly doodle drawings, like, around Pigpen. It's how old I am. We're referencing Charlie Brown. Girl, I'm turning 50 this year, so let's just, like Hey, a lot of people don't get the glory of aging, so You know what? I'm excited about turning 50. Right? It's supposed to be, like, a whole new level, so, like, you've unlocked the achievement.
That's true. But I love what you're talking about here. And for me, to add another layer to this, so we're only supposed to hold our energy, our life force. So for me, when somebody else's energy is trying to come in to me or somebody is attacking me, I get anxious. [00:13:00] I don't have anxiety. So for me, when I have those feelings, I'm like, this isn't even mine.
But again, I have to come into my body to be able to recognize what is mine and what isn't. And that's the thymus gland tapping, which I taught you is one of my favorite things. Cause I had somebody years ago who taught me the emotional freedom technique, like got certified and all. It takes too long. I don't have.
30 minutes or an hour to be tapping on all of the things. Yeah. I deeply appreciate. No, your thymus gland connects. Okay. Let's think about this. It's cool for multiple reasons, but it connects to your emotional centers. It's also right in your heart center. It connects your base chakras to your top ones.
Like it's the bridge. So when you tap, like you mean it, not like this, but you tap, it's like it instantly calms your nervous system down. That's one of my favorite things to do. It's one of the [00:14:00] most powerful tools and the most simple. Just like, okay, I'm safe. I'm calm. You're literally, you think about what is the state that you're in and how do you want to feel?
So you release the state you don't want. And then you just, I'm calm. I'm feeling joy. Like whatever it is. There's so many simple things. We can do, but I, I feel like from my experience and what I've seen in clients is we get caught up in the complication of things. I can't tap. I don't know about tapping.
Let me research tapping. So if I tap here, what if I also tap here? And in what order do I tap? And then what do I say? And if I do this work, do I have to do it for an hour? Does it have to be 10 minutes? Is it five minutes? You can literally do box breathing for like two minutes. So many things. We've just been taught that life has to be hard and making money has to be hard.
It doesn't. That is [00:15:00] false. Well, and that's something too, when you start bringing life and money and energetics outside the body, a lot of people get into these, start doing these habits and it's almost kind of, It's all in their head. And like, you can still think and manifest. That, that does happen. But if you don't speak, if you don't make it known, that's another frequency.
If you don't get out of your head and into your reality, like we're in a 3D world, speaking it has another level of power than just thinking it. And then adding tapping or movement adds more to it. Moving energy is how you get unstuck. Everyone's stuck because they're stuck in here. And they're like, well, okay, okay, if I just do, okay, I took my baths, I meditated, I thought of my affirmations, you know, but writing them down, saying them out loud, like, there's so many things you can add because energy needs to move.
When you trap it and continue to do it in one way, why are we surprised? That we're stuck money. The energy of money loves to move quickly. [00:16:00] Oh yeah. It's not a slow energy. And I just, so I have a group coaching community. And last week we were talking about vibration and there's this misconception out there where people are like, well, if your vibration is low and slow, you can't manifest things.
No, it's not true. We don't have to be Polly sunshine all the time. Our vibration is theoretically built, not built, but like affected by our subconscious mind, but also like the emotional state you're in. If you're in a shitty mood, your vibration is going to be a little bit lower. But if you're in a better mood, it's going to be higher.
But some of the most wealthy people I know have manifested and even I've manifested large sums of money when I haven't been vibrating at a super high frequency. The thing I think that gets left out is we manifest based on who we're being. [00:17:00] What identity are you in, you know? Or trying to absorb, like shape shifting, like shape shifting can be positive, but when I speak of it this way, which is something I found from survival mode.
When I meet people, I immediately need to mirror them, or have the like, feeling that I need to, because I feel their energy, and like, I take, I'm used to just filtering people's shit my whole life, as you know. You're like, you met me, and we're like, you need to control. I know, it's like, whoa girl, you are, you're taking everything in, and that was my whole life.
So learning like, how to manage your energy, and what isn't yours. You also don't need to be at the same Like, when you talk about like, energetic energy and money is fast. I can match that. Like, everyone says online, you have to be an energetic match to receive. Yes and no. I don't have to be at that frequency in order to receive money.
I can still be at, you can tune into a different radio station and still have different ideas and inspirations and dance moves. You know what I mean? Like, you get to have it all. You just [00:18:00] have to have the awareness and the discipline. to manage it. And way too many people don't know how to do that. To add to what you're saying, you're saying, I can be at this lower level and still manifest.
Yes, because your belief is, I can be at this level and still manifest. Your identity is, I'm the type of person that can still be at this level and manifest. Can I manifest stuff when I'm up here too? Yes. But your identity is based on who you believe you are. Right? So it's like, Cool. I believe I can manifest at any level.
Is it more fun when I'm at a higher level? Sure. But it can still be fun when I'm neutral. I mean, we can reinvent ourselves at any moment. People do not understand the power we have. If I wanted to, and I mean, I also had a bad habit of like running away and reinventing myself every time I had to in life.
You can literally, you know, Change your name, change the way you operate, but I, [00:19:00] I wear suits now, and I go, my name's Georgina, and I only do that. You can become a completely different person tomorrow. You don't need to even ask permission. You can just do it. I mean, for some legal documents, you may have to sign some stuff.
You don't even have to do that. There's many people on the internet that have a different persona, but they become that persona. You can reinvent yourself at any given time. And people don't understand the power of that, because they get so stuck, and it's like, it's your energy. You get to direct it any way that you desire.
You are not actually, people feel like it's all happening to them, but it's not happening to us. We just aren't redirecting it, or making it work for us. We are lightworkers, we can, we can reflect shit, we can take it in, like, we can mix it up and spit it out a different color. And my thing is, and it was exactly the conversation we had, when you learn to clear yourself, connect yourself, and Protect yourself in a different [00:20:00] way.
Not only does your intuition get stronger, your inner guidance gets stronger, your energetic signature gets more expansive because I've had people who are like, well, I don't want, I don't need to protect my energy because I don't need to block out the stuff. You're not blocking it out. You're saying I'm setting an energetic boundary.
I'm no longer open and available to take on other people's shit. Boundaries, man. It's so much boundaries. Yes. It's not saying I need to protect myself because I don't want to feel anything. No, that's not what it is. We're protecting and connecting and grounding because you should be able to go out in the world and not pick up other people's stuff.
Years ago, I could not go to concerts. I'm not going to lie. I still don't really love them. I couldn't go to places like Costco because I was like, just picking up everybody's courts for me. Oh, food courts. No, they were a hard no for me. I was like, but when you learn to master, I'm not even going to say when you learn to manage your energy, when you [00:21:00] learn to master your energy.
That shit doesn't affect you like it used to. We are not meant to be going out in the world and being moldy sponges. All the clients who come to me, most of them I'm like, Whoa! And it was like you when I first met you. I was like, you are like a sponge that has been picking up all this water and now there's no more room for water and it's just leaking.
Just a soggy ass sponge. On the, on the ocean, we want to be in charge of our energy and be able to go to places like Costco and not feel everybody's stuff. Now, again, I will have people who say, but if I'm all bubbled up, how do I feel people boundaries? You set the boundary that anything that I need to be aware of to help my clients or myself or my family can come in.
Well, and [00:22:00] boundaries doesn't beat your awareness down. You can still be aware of something and say yes or no. Like, that's like saying, you know, here's a way that someone described awareness to me once. I think it was a book I read, honestly, years ago. When you walk into a room, if I was to say to you right now, how many yellow things are in your room?
You, you, you go and count all the yellow things. And I'd be like, okay, that's cool. Now, without looking around, how many red things did you see? You'd have no idea because you weren't aware. But you can still have boundaries to be like, I don't give a fuck about the red things. You know, you can still choose whether or not to be aware of things.
That's your energy. Do you want to waste your time? Your energy? What are you doing? Who are you paying attention to? What conversations are you listening to? Like, I go to Costco now, and I have people that come up to me. There was a client I had once, like, years ago, randomly, for, like, something, a simple service, like a brow wax or whatever.
And, she hadn't seen me in forever, I'm standing there in Costco, and she's coming up to me, and I immediately [00:23:00] felt her coming before I saw her, and I turn, and I'm like, she needs, she needs a hug, is all that came through my mind. And she comes up, I'm like, oh, how are you? Right? And immediately she's like, just, splurts out, like, my husband, and then, I finally asked him for separation, I'm tired of the abuse and all this stuff, and like, she's just standing in front of me, and so I said to her, would you like a hug?
And she just gave me the biggest hug and broke down, and Justin's like, how do you do this? Like, random people! And it's like, because I am open to helping people heal, but it doesn't mean that I have to go out and look for people who are broken. I am a beacon, they can find me, and I'm okay being like, she's gonna need a hug today, and I'm okay to say, Yeah, I'm here for that.
Now, am I going to be a part of her drama? Yes, and it doesn't mean you need to take on her pain. No, I don't. I gave her a hug. I gave her some love. She looked me in the eye and she said, thank you. And she left. It doesn't mean I had to sit down and be like, okay, tell me what's going on. And like, try to solve her life problems.
I [00:24:00] wasn't a part of that. I was just there as a friendly face she needed that day and offered her a hug. Yeah. But I didn't have to be anxious and freaking out like, I used to go to stores and like try not to be noticeable because I'd be like, people are going to want things from me, they're going to try and get me to design tattoos for them in the store and like all these things.
And it's like, now it's like, oh, that's a great idea. Why don't you shoot an email and we'll have one of the artists work with you. Like, you can redirect. The same you do for a toddler, right? Like. Redirection is one of the most powerful, powerful communication skills you can have. And even that, people are like, that's so rude.
No, it isn't. It's not rude. And if you think it's rude, that's where you're at and that's okay. That's your reality. You might want to work on that because you probably think everything is rude and happening to you. Yeah. And it's when you come and I see this with a lot of healers, especially they feel like it's their job to take on the pain.
It's not our jobs to take on the [00:25:00] pain. Okay. Say it again. Cause I'm, I went through our job to take on the pain of everybody else. We can look at them and say, I'm choosing to Love and appreciate where you're at. That's, I don't need to take that off. No, that's not for me. Love and appreciate where you're at.
That's your journey. And I had a conversation with somebody the other day and she was feeling horrible because there's somebody she knows and this woman's going through the shit. And she's like, I just, every time I make a suggestion to her, like, it's not helping. I'm like, You have to learn it's not your job to take that on.
It's not your job to feel bad that this particular person doesn't want to change. It's even like students in my other business. I have the PMU in tattoo school, and there's some students that come in. And they're really busy, they don't have time to practice, and then they're frustrated they're not advancing.
And it's like, I can [00:26:00] hold I can sit down and show you everything that I know, and I can help you with whatever you come to me with, if you if you communicate your problems, I can do my best to inform. I can hold your hand, but I can't drag you across the finish line. Like, I can't do the work for you. You gotta do the practice, you gotta put the time in.
Some people advance further. There's no judgment, and I'm here for you, but I can't do it for you. It's just like anything in life. I, and it's not my job to do it for you. You're paying me to advise, to mentor, to support. I will laugh with you. I will cry with you. I will tell you everything that I know, but I cannot do it for you.
And quite frankly, I'm really over I'm sick and tired of over explaining who I am and how I operate that I'm at a point where I'm like, why do I explain so much? This is where I have to offer, take it or leave it, and this is where I'm at. I can give you this, I can't give you anything else. When do you take responsibility for where you're at?
Yeah, exactly. [00:27:00] It's that self accountability. We all have to have it, and I think it falls short a lot of times because people do get into that kind of like, victim y energy, right? You're supposed to help me. It's like, I am. But also if you're not listening and doing the work, I can only do so much. Yeah. And even so with my clients, like the way I'm doing things, I'm not a typical mindset person.
We're working on subconscious level, work on an energy level. I'm not going to make you journal for two hours, but I am going to say, Hey, you need to take four and a half minutes and do this daily energy management practice. This is foundational for what we're doing. Put an alarm on your phone and just do it when it goes off.
It's four and a half minutes. If you come back to me and say, I don't feel any different because you're not using the tools that one is four and a half minutes. We're gonna have a situation, but I can't force you to use the tools. But when you use the tools, you're going to recognize how much better you feel and how much clarity you have.
And not [00:28:00] to quit using the tools because it didn't work the way you thought the first time. Remember float tanks? I did a float tank. The first float tank I did was a disaster. I could just, as postpartum, I just had my first baby and I'm sitting in there and all I could think is how long am I in here for?
How long has it been? There's no clocks in here. Am I seriously just going to lay in the water for an hour? Like what a waste of time. There's other things I could be doing. But I kept going and the more I went, the more I learned to be still and to appreciate and take the time to take a nap like, but the first time wasn't great.
It was the longest hour of my entire life in that dark tank, but then I grew to love them. You gotta just, you gotta see it through. I always tell myself, try it three to five times before you decide whether or not it's working. You have to be open to trying and playing with something and being okay not knowing how it's gonna go.
Curiosity, one of the best traits anybody can have. Just fucking try, try and play. You don't have to get it right the first time. And [00:29:00] be curious about what could happen. Even one of the tools I use is hypnosis. I get people to listen to it at bedtime. Okay. You put it on while you go to sleep. It does not get any easier than that because I know that the people I'm working with are high functioning women, right?
They got enough going on during the day. They're you in the float tank. They're sitting there going, Oh, but do I have to sit still for four and a half minutes? Like what's going on in my brain? I make it super simple because I know that if we do these things, it makes us feel better. But even with the hypnosis, I say to people, I'm like, it takes practice.
I want you just to put it on and go to sleep. That's what it's designed for. There's maybe 15 minutes of talking and they're like, well, I couldn't hear what you were saying. Cause I fell asleep. I'm like, Yes. It's for your subconscious mind, because the one in front is loud and not listening. But we get, things take practice, breathwork takes practice, float [00:30:00] tanks took practice.
Breathwork is work. That's something I learned. Like, I thought I was doing it wrong and just hyperventilating, essentially, because I'm like, I'm cramping, it feels like I'm being crushed, I feel terrified, like doing breathwork is work. terrified me. Like, I felt unsafe, but I've never been in my body like that before.
Of course I felt unsafe. And then I realized, most of my life I've had no idea who I actually am, because I've always been everyone else's version of me that they've needed. Like, that's some shit to unlearn. What is my energy? What is my station? Huh? It's scary when you realize you're like, I don't actually know who I am.
I don't think I knew who I was until I was in my 40s. If I'm being completely honest. I also didn't think I had emotions until I was in my forties. I'm just starting to understand that I am also a person outside of everything. I've, I've been very successful. I've done very great [00:31:00] things. I thought I knew who I was.
Then I showed up there. I mentioned this in a podcast with Jen. I showed up to that mastermind where I met you. And that's when I realized I don't know who I'm walking into and I don't know who I need to be. And that just that idea where you're like, What do you mean I don't know who I need to be? What mask am I putting on today?
That was a huge realization. To get in a cab alone, you guys, you guys don't understand. To get in a cab alone without any data or connection, I was like, I'm gonna die. No one's gonna know where I am. No one's gonna find me. It's a three minute cab ride to the beach. Like, it's not far. But it was just like the fear and the terror and then not knowing if I could walk in there and be like who, who's walking in this door?
That was a huge eye opener. And now we're, how many months later? I don't know, probably like six months later or something. I'm not going to count them. I haven't six months. Oh, Hey, look at that. See intuition, six months later. And it's like, I am not the [00:32:00] same person I was when I got on that airplane in September.
Girl, I'm not the same person. I was when we joked that I had to come out of my Canadian cave because I hadn't traveled in like four. Four years. Both of us just like, we've been hibernating, it's cold up there. All those igloos, it was hard to get out. My igloo hadn't melted enough. Yeah, well, actually, it's snowing here again in March.
It's fine. We had snow, but now it's melting. It's still a little chilly though, but it's true. You don't, and I feel like, I mean, we should always be evolving. If you're not constantly evolving and shifting and growing and expanding, that makes me feel sad for you. Well, yeah, you're just like, it's funny because what you don't know is when I landed in California, my phone was supposed to have roaming on it.
Nothing was working. Mine wasn't either. And I I couldn't order an Uber because [00:33:00] there was nothing on my phone. I had to take a fricking bus thing to get to the cabs. I get to the cab, the cab driver pulls up. We joke because of course the cab I get is like this sick BMW guy, but he's Russian and he doesn't speak English.
So I'm on the verge of having a meltdown because my flight had first of all been delayed four times. I was supposed to land in California at six. I didn't get there till 10, which was really like one o'clock my time. I was on the verge of a meltdown and I get in this cab and trying to find the address of the hotel I'm going to, but I can't because my phone isn't working.
And so he looks at me. And he types in Google translate. He's like, it's okay. Just take a breath. And I was like, but we're so dependent on that connection, right? Having answers provided. Yes. I can't Google my own energy. Exactly. So [00:34:00] then he ends up, I was like, Oh, that's how we'll talk to him. So we do that.
And I grabbed his phone. Cause it was working type in where I'm going. We get there. I try to give him this like massive tip and the dude wouldn't take it. He was like, no, no, no. I don't want, no. I was like, Oh my God, thank you. But see, that's an energy thing too. It was like our energy. He knew how to calm me down, even though we couldn't speak the same language.
I had no idea where I was. It was pitch black. I do remember getting into the room and having a meltdown because I was like, did I make a mistake? Should I just, all the signs are like, I shouldn't have come here. This is bad. Yeah. It was wild. And then having to call like Bell Canada and be like, why is my phone not working?
And. Them giving me stupid answers, but it did get sorted out and the next day I was fine, but I also had never taken an Uber. So we joked about that because I was like, I don't even know how to do this. And I remember Tiffany going, just download it. And then you type in where you're going. [00:35:00] They're going to pull up.
There's going to be their license plate. People are like, why have you never taken an Uber? I didn't know how to Uber. It was very confusing. And then I'm like, why is that tracking? Cause I turned the data off. Like, no, you have the data on in order to get the Uber to work. You have to keep it on for the app.
Who knew? Girl, right? And I just People are like, why have you never ubered? Because I drive myself, you know, like, I don't, I have a car. Also medicine hat, there's, well, I guess there's some now, but there's not much for ubers here. And like, it takes 15 to 20 minutes to drive from one side of the city to the other here.
So it's fine. Yeah, it's wild. But see, that goes to show too. It's like, we have this level of expectation of being able to have that instant gratification of finding the answer and it's and now finding it now everything is available within seconds it's just like people there's something to talk about for energy when you get messages i've had to turn off notifications on my phone because you know i'm so successful i have messages all the time [00:36:00] but you know when you're i have you know messenger instagram and it's annoying because of them only have quiet mode for so long but having something ding, I know that they expect an answer right away.
And it take, it took me a year to train people not to expect, like I turned off instant answering. You can wait for an answer if you're trying to message me. If you want a response, you can go to the business number and you can text them and someone who's working will respond. But we have that angst where it's like phone dings at nine o'clock.
You're like, I need to answer it. The error is if you don't open it. doesn't show red, they don't know that you know there's a message, leave it alone. You have boundaries. Even in PMU, because people get really worried about, like if their brows that night or something. It's like if something was wrong or they thought they had an infection, A, we're not doctors, we can't deal with it.
B, There's no life threatening condition that's going to take place between when you finish their brows [00:37:00] that day and nine o'clock at night. And if there was, you'd hope they'd go to a hospital, if it's that crazy of a thing that happened. So it's, it's that, it's boundary, like, I'm not available. for this.
And one thing I struggle with is if my phone is not on the charger at home, I feel like I have to answer, I have to work. If it's in front of me, I'll automatically have to have it open Canva and start doing graphics, or I'll automatically, it's just part of my, my multi passionate, multi functioning, can't stop, won't stop.
So I have to make physical boundaries for my energy, or if it's not in my field, it's not affecting me. But if it's within like a few meter radius, I know, I know it's the same physically distance myself. I think that's a big thing. I had to also do the same thing because I just love creating things. It's fun.
It's an outlet for me. Yes. Same. I love being able to create things, whether it's on my phone or my computer or whatever, but it got to the point where I always had my phone in my [00:38:00] hand. And even my boyfriend was like, your phone is always in your hand. And so now I'm very mindful of putting it. away from me when we're spending time together in the evening because I want my energy focused on him, not he, I'm creating on my phone.
I'm really bad for that. If Justin's playing a video game, then that's my, instead of gaming, I'm like, I'll just make some graphic. But then if he's done a video game and there's a movie on phone goes away. Like we're with each other. And I think it's a really big lesson when you look at. energy that way too because it's like we don't realize even we're not physically doing anything your attention span is part of your energy and we misread it like i'm excited so this is what i should be doing right i'm always gonna be excited i'm a fucking creative i'm gonna be creating until i die so yeah you give me an opportunity to make something like you give me a colored pen and some paper well fuck here we go same with my daughter she's the same way but i have to tell myself at times Now's [00:39:00] not the time to create.
I'm always going to love it. Now's the time where I'm going to do this. Yep. Right? Like, and we need to make that known. And it's so easy for us to just be like, okay, someone gives you a little bit like, oh, it's okay. I don't mind. Is it okay? Read their energy. Are they just saying it because they think that you need to, because they know that you're a busy person and you have stuff to do?
Because you give me, you give me a little bit. I'm going to take like a whole hour down the rabbit hole. Like, I know myself. It's like when I buy a chocolate cake at my daughter's birthday, I bought myself my favorite little vegan, gluten free chocolate cake. I knew when I bought that cake I was gonna eat the whole thing in three days and get myself sick.
I knew it. That's why I don't buy it. But I did it again. I knew it. But as long as you enjoyed it while it was going down, it was so good. I just didn't enjoy it on day three. That was the end. But it's so wild. Cause I had somebody asked me one time, they're like, well, what do you do for fun? I'm like, create.
I love it. I worked in marketing and advertising for 24 years. I've [00:40:00] always been an artist when I was a little kid. I used to like, I've always been creative. So creating content is fun for me and doing things as fun. Painting is fun. I don't know. Like that's people look at it. They're like, well, that's weird.
It's not weird. I love creating. I love ideas. Like when I have, there's times where I'll just like create lists and it could be anything. It could be lists of things I want to do. It could be lists of places I want to go. It could be lists of. random offers or coaching programs that I'm not offering right now and don't intend to, but I could later.
And like, Ooh, what if I did something like this? What if I, what if I love playing the what if game? I used to play the what if game in a very negative way. And I flipped that script a couple of years ago, or when I'm like, what if it doesn't work, but what if it does? And what if like, what if it works? 20 people's lives are changed forever.
And what if I get to meet those people later? What if it's a live retreat? What if we get to My latest what if was, what if I go to Vegas and I see all these ladies again and we have like this incredible Vegas [00:41:00] trip? Like, what if? Like, I, I'm always going to be dreaming because that's also just part We're just dreamers.
Also, that's a super fun way to practice manifesting. I do it. My statement is, wouldn't it be cool? Wouldn't it be cool? If wouldn't it be cool? If this happened, wouldn't it be cool? If I had this opportunity, wouldn't it be cool? If I saw a dime on the street, like when we play in this way, our energy is very expansive, but also it releases the attachment to the outcome because it's just the game.
It's a great game. Games are meant to be fun. They don't need to be competitive and crazy. Which I do have a competitive streak. But like, what if we just If you're playing with yourself, that sounds funny, but if you're playing with yourself, you always win. You know, it's actually a great analogy. It can work in a way.
So many kinds of energy, but it's a whole different podcast now. That's another, we'll explore that [00:42:00] another time, but it is, it's fun. Like the energy of fun in itself and fun can be. Different for all people. It was interesting because I was having a conversation with my good friends. I was like, I don't even like, I don't know what fun is for me outside of creation.
And then I watched this documentary about Mr. Dress up because I used to watch him when I was a little kid growing up in Canada. I didn't realize he was actually American and he came here, but anyways, and I, right. And all of a sudden I was like, it was fun for me to craft. Like, Yep. That was my fun. His drawings?
Yes. And the chester? Yeah, and the sound that the scissors, his scissors made this sound on the paper, and I remember saying to my mom, I want grown up scissors so that they'll make that crunch. That [00:43:00] sound to me, for some reason, was so relaxing. And I just, when I watched that document, I started bawling. I was like, what is going on here?
Like just all that inner child nostalgia coming out. Yes, because I had forgotten that creation and fun, it's not a bad thing for me. I don't have to feel guilty about that. No, and I think too, a lot of people are so fixated on creating calm, like if you're overwhelmed and your nervous systems are, you need to be calm, you need to have self care.
It's like, that includes play. Like, your child deserves to play, because at what point did you get so worried about responsibility, and your business, and your outcomes, that you never, you stopped playing? Like, when we play, it's amazing. Like, when I play with my kids, they teach me so much that I forget, where you're like, oh yeah, I guess it doesn't really matter.
Half the time when we craft, we don't even know what we're making. I used to get stressed when my [00:44:00] daughter would tell me to draw something, which you'd think is ironic because I tattooed for like, over a decade. And then someone tells you to draw on the spot, and I'm like, I don't know what I'm making. But you just doodle shit, and like, they draw on the crayons in the bathtub, and we'll draw stuff, we'll create stories, and that is so much fun.
And the crazy thing is, is most creators will get anxious over losing what they've created or forgetting to finish or whatever. But when you're doing stuff with, like, bath soap, crayons, and, like, random kid shit, it's not gonna last forever, and that's not the point. The point is, in that present moment, that thing you're doing together is fun.
That is what they're gonna remember in their body. And they do have memories. Mom, remember when we made this? And you're like, oh yeah, I forgot, that was a great idea. You know? And then they come home from school, drawing pictures, doing things with you, and you're like, well, okay, now I feel like an amazing mom, you know?
Like It's the fun, and how would I feel if I was always just telling her to do shit and never have fun? We do it to ourselves all the [00:45:00] time. It's like we teach kids about big feelings, and then we grow up and we're like, We have no feelings, we only do work. What? What? Bullshit. Again, it goes back to we've been taught things need to be hard, so then our energy contracts.
And it's like, well, I can't, I can't just be having fun all the time. That's irresponsible! That's irresponsible! But you can have more fun and you can play and play can look different for all the people my deaf in my head. I was like well playing I guess I gotta go do like some sort of something else. I was like no playing to me is doing the weird crafts that I wouldn't maybe like I bought this diamond painting thing.
That thing I remember messaging like I have anxiety. But you know what? And I did when I first looked at it, but then I started doing it. I've never been so calm in my life. It's like, boop, boop. But then I haven't finished it because [00:46:00] I, what happens is I'll bring things into my life when I need them in my life.
And then maybe I'll finish them, but just like books, I never really finished books. I get the message I need. And then I'm like, okay, cool. I think it was the same with that diamond thing. I'll pick it up once in a while and I go boop, boop. And I'm like, okay, I'm good. That's all I needed to do. I do that with like crocheting.
All my crafts are like that. It's like, oh, I just need something to do with my hands that's not this. It gets me out of my head. I went through a crochet phase years ago and it's funny because this winter I was like, I gotta relearn how to do that. And then I stopped myself because I remembered I started making scarves for everybody and they were horrible.
I was like, okay, I don't, that's, I don't really need to do that one right now. We'll just, we'll just go with something else. I have this one thing I need to finish because it's It's like a, basically it's like a giant scarf that goes all the way down. You got to put the pockets on it. So it's like, and it's really cool.
But for me, I start things [00:47:00] and then I'm like annoyed that I haven't got like far enough, fast enough. And then I'm like, I don't want to do this anymore. turn into work. It's not fun anymore. Yeah, but that's a thing too. It does. Sometimes we do stuff and it turns into work. It's like this. I don't like this anymore.
I'm done with this. The other times like, oh, I want to make a pocket. Okay, go do it then. And that's the joy. You can start and stop things anytime that you want. You don't have to. I feel trapped by fun and like fun can also be things like where you're investing money like you know the feeling you get when like I did, I think I talked about this in one of my podcasts recently with debt, when you get like a line of credit or a loan and you're starting a business for example, in that moment when you're like, Oh, I've been rewarded this and the possibilities are there.
It's fun to order supplies and find, especially for me, it's like, I find cute pink shit and, like, fill in my space and decorating. That shit was fun! You have to remember, too, that you have to be okay with things being fun and then also taking time to come back to it because you [00:48:00] can easily get lost and then have the regret of, Oh, I shouldn't have bought, Did I need to set up three stations right now?
Did I need to paint the space right now? I could have pain You, I had fun. And it's great, I go in there and it's wonderful, like you have to be okay with allowing yourself to have fun without worrying about the consequence afterwards, unless you're harming yourself or others, just throw that in there, just in case.
Fun is meant to explore and play, and I think people, it doesn't mean you have to go do a certain hands on activity. You can have fun in different ways. You can have fun with how you invest your money. You can have fun in the way that you do things with, like, going for date nights or something. Like, there's different ways to have fun that aren't just activity based, but decision based.
Like, playing the what if game or the wouldn't it be cool if game. That's fun. Daydreaming's fun. Talking about a complete, people play fantasy football for this reason, because it's fun. It's not even real. It's just fun. And this brings us full circle back to the energetics of [00:49:00] business. And you're having fun creating.
You also at any moment can look at something and go, huh, I was having fun with that. Now I'm not, it doesn't feel good and it's actually not working. So I'm going to get rid of that. So many people hang on to things in business. and they're not working or they don't feel good. Or it's faded out. Yeah. They changed their idea.
I've done that with my content recently. I used to post a lot. It was fun. Then it became a chore and now I'm doing this whole new way. And it's, it's a lot more like story based and I'm loving it. I'm loving it. It's way more fun again. And I have more ideas like, I'll just throw this in my stories today.
Yeah. And imagine if you kept trying to do the other way, we'd all feel it. It'd be like, Ooh, I recorded a video last week and then. I knew my energy wasn't in it, and I watch it, and I'm like, nope, and I deleted it. Because people can feel that. [00:50:00] You don't have to keep things exactly the same in business. If it's not working, get rid of it, or like, shift it.
It should change. It should never stay the same. Any plan or strategy, or whatever you're doing, is going to die out, or evolve, or change. It's, it's, otherwise, or not, or just not work anymore. Well, and I had somebody one time say, well, not everything can be fun in business. Okay, look, we had a conversation before we hopped on here.
Doing my taxes, having an accountant and a bookkeeper, that's not fun for me. I don't like that stuff. No. When I'm creating things to help people, if I'm not having fun with it, I'm not putting that out into the world because it's not going to help anybody. When people say, and I hear this a lot, well, I want to create an online product or program because I just want to make more money easily.
I'm like, that's not going to work. That's the money's a side effect. It's how are you making an impact? How are you [00:51:00] helping people? This is recently what I went through. I had the whole coaching side of the business and I had a group membership. I had, um, Voxer containers, like three month containers. I had one on one coaching clients.
I had a lot going on on that side, plus then the school and all of that. And I recently was like, I was one foot in, one foot out too much. The school couldn't run without me fully yet, and there's a lot more I wanted to do there, and I was trying to do this, and I found I was trying to double create, as always, I like to do double.
I burned it down, and I said I'm only doing one on one, and feeding the podcast, on the business side. I'm just gonna work on growth. And those that need one on one. That's it. And since I made that decision, which I was like, I don't have my MRR. I don't have, you know, all these things. I closed stuff down, and I've made more in the last two weeks making that decision.
And I've spent more time with my kids, less time on my phone. The clients I do have in my world are having bigger revelations, connecting more deeper. They're getting more out of what I'm offering them, cause I just, it [00:52:00] hits different. Yeah, it hits different and they can feel it and when they feel how I feel it inspired them and empowered them to go This wasn't working for me.
So I got rid of it. And now when you said this this really meant it hits different I can say the same fucking words, but if your energy is not so I guess we level up or energy changes You can say the same sentence to me And as my energy shifts, it's going to hit different every single time. Yes. You know, one of the things I love, this is going to sound super, I love watching you on stories, but like when you're doing this and you're in your like class, like you're in the physical business, your energy is so expansive and you're wearing these cute outfits and you've got the people around.
All my people are doing good and I'm proud of them. I love watching those stories because I'm like, Oh my God, look how expansive it is. Is and that's part of this, right? It's like one of the things that I do with my clients, especially it's like we open you up to possibilities and potential by getting rid of those things.
You opened yourself up to new possibilities [00:53:00] and potential. Well, I was so stressed on What can I create now? How do I, I was the constant launch phases for online stuff and I just wasn't as present and then I was frustrated because things weren't happening the way I wanted to at the school because I wasn't there and then I felt guilty because I wasn't there and then my daughter ended up in the hospital and then I couldn't be there and then I was like, everything's going to blow up.
I'm not there. I'm like, no one knows what to do because I haven't been there and it was fine. It proved to me that everything is fine. But where do you want to be? I wanted to be there. I didn't want to not be there. Okay. So that's where I was like, eh, should I flip that switch? I'll come back to this later.
I also future trip really fucking hard, so I feel like I have to create to get the vision I can see. Like, sometimes I'm literally multidimensional, just like, what? But it's not there yet. And you're like, okay, that is coming. Back to here. And that's the important part of like when we get into that visualization state is like you don't need to know the how.
Like [00:54:00] I've been talking about creating this amazing high level mastermind. It will. And I will, but it isn't ready to be come out yet. Because we don't need to figure it out and make it work. No. We know what we want and then we allow it to happen. You plant seeds. You gotta let them grow. You don't keep thinking.
Yeah, don't be thinking about, don't bug them. I said that to somebody the other day. She, she's gets very hung up on the how. I'm like, so when you plant things, do you go out every day and dig up the seeds and then look at them and then replant them? And she just kind of stopped and looked at me. She's like, no, I'm like, okay, but that's what you're trying to do here.
You're planting the seed and then you're like obsessing over it. The poor little thing can't even germinate. Stop taking it out of the dirt, little bone. But I know people get hung up on the how and. It's surrender. It's just, that's the trust and faith. Like, when people say trust and faith, and people [00:55:00] think faith means you have to be a certain type of religion.
Faith in yourself, faith in the universe, faith. You have to have trust that the energy, if you can manage and work on mastering your energy, what you're putting out there, and what your expectations are, Granted, a lot of us have high expectations, but like, just being realistic with where you're at and what you want and what you see coming, it's impossible for you to fail because you are the one who is showing up to make that happen.
As long as you show up and own your shit, you will make that happen. You, your magic is your energy. That's what you're creating with. You're not, you don't need to conjure and pull off of other people. You don't need to be a leech. We don't need to siphon. We don't need to do no blood magic. You just need to show up as you are.
Everyone's preaching authenticity. Like I want to vomit. I hear it so much on the internet, but no one is actually being authentic when they're talking about it. Don't get me started. That would be a whole nother podcast. Yeah, that's why I'm just so into this. Like, it's self expression. If you're not [00:56:00] expressing from your soul what you're true, Intention, not what you think you should be doing, not what you've been told you should be doing.
When you have that feeling, that, that, if you're leaning into that, you can trust that, that's the body response you're talking about, that's what's real. And just reminding yourself and managing the energy during that time, you have to just keep showing up. You can't fail, because you know that you're the one who always feels like you have to take care of anything anyway, so if you're doing that, you can't lose.
And I love the faith piece because when I learned if I have 100 percent faith that what I'm doing and who I'm being and what I'm creating is going to work, then it works. Yeah, that's my energy because I have faith in it. No one can take that from you. Only you can take that from you. So, why are you doing that?
And being okay with allowing help to come [00:57:00] your way. Because everyone thinks like, Well, I've got to figure it out myself. You don't. You just have to anchor into what is meant for you. One of my coaches said to me recently, What is meant for you can't pass you by. And I always believe that, you know, What is meant to be will be.
But when she said it that way, It reminded me because I always feel like I'm rushing or I'm going to miss it or it's just part of my anxiety. But what's meant for you can't pass you by. Even if you miss it the first time, you know, you're going to see it again because you're looking for it. It's all awareness.
You have to be here and aware in order to receive. If your hands are so full, how are you going to receive anything? Yeah. Put that shit down. Yeah. And that goes back to the, where's your focus? Are you focused on what you're missing or are you focused on the outcomes you want? Because that's when you're actually so many times and we've all experienced it.
We didn't see what was right in front of us because we weren't open to seeing [00:58:00] it. And that's why we hire coaches too. Cause we're so in it. Someone has to be like, hello, that thing you just said. That's what you need to do. Oh, thank you. Oh, I didn't even notice that before. Hey, Jessica, you're doing it again.
Stop. Refocus. Okay. Thank you. Shiny. Okay. Save the gym for later. That's the beauty. That's the beauty. And you're right. That is why we all have coaches. Coaches have coaches. We all have coaches. I will never not have a coach. And you know, I think someone said to me too, look, aren't coaches just a big pyramid scheme?
And I was like, not if you're actually hiring people that you want to work with. This is where you use energy for discernment. If you're trying to find someone as a quick fix or some scheme to get to the top with the perfect systems and strategies, yeah, that's probably not going to work out. But if you're going to someone because, You trust them, you can feel there's a connection, like, I know the people that I work with in my world, they foster different parts of [00:59:00] me, or they bring out different parts of me, there's an activation that happens.
And if you don't feel that, you're not gonna get anything from it. If you're just, if you're approaching a person like you're approaching a blog you're about to binge or some rabbit hole on Google, it ain't gonna work. Or if you're just looking for that quick fix, and those are the people that you're gonna see, the ones who are constantly talking about authenticity.
And they're not authentic. You can feel it in their energy. Those are the ones and their word salad in you. They're fucking. I love that word salading. And you're just like, those are the people that, yeah, maybe don't go in their energy. Right. Like, if it seems too good to be true and too easy, What are you looking for?
Are you looking for a scam? Yeah, like, okay, after how much work did you put in for that to happen? And what are you skewing to give me that number? Like, that's one thing with the six figure world, right? Everyone, especially in PMU, everyone, there's [01:00:00] something magical about 10k months. Everyone wants 10k months.
Okay, well, one thing I tell my clients is, if you're a solo artist in a small space, it's okay to have a 5k month goal. You can actually still make the same amount of profit versus someone who's 10k plus and has a team and staff. Like the visions are different. They hit different. The goals are different.
You don't have to have a giant vision. I had someone I had to coach recently because she felt she was wasting time and she, you know, she, she was stupid because she didn't want big things and that made her, you know, whatever. And I'm like, what's so wrong? Like, if you want to make five to 8k a month, what's wrong with that?
That's your life, your goal. There's nothing wrong with that. You can have that. But see, there's the challenge because so much stuff out in the world is people projecting that if you don't, like, where did this 10k month, I don't even know where that came from. It's everywhere. Everyone, and I, I, I hate using it.
I know people look for [01:01:00] it and you're like, well, can we debunk it? Like, I should just do some content. Who gives a fuck about your 10k months? What do you want? Yeah, we'll forget time is money. I made a little bit less a month so that I could have more time flexibility with my children. And then I went and was like, okay, well, I'll just scale it for another reason.
I'm okay. Taking 2, 000 a month less. If I get to pick them up, drop them off, go to the park. I could also fill more days. I could make an extra 10 K a month. If I just took extra clients. But I don't want to. I want to do these other things. Like that, there's more value than just your bank account. And then it's funny because I started doing those things.
I started making more money anyway. So it's kind of, I was just going to say, you're probably going to still make money. But I was having a conversation with my writer earlier before we hopped on here, and we're talking about feeling like running out of time. Cause every once in a while I get in the space of like, I'm turning 50, I'm running out of time.
I haven't hit the financial goals I wanted to hit. And then I was like, You're not dead yet. [01:02:00] I'm not dead. And also, I'm building the business in a way that gives me space. If I want to take two weeks off, I can do that. If I don't want to burn myself out again, I'm building it in a way that energetically feels good to me and that feels good to me.
And fun. Well, yeah, like there's no point, you know, this is something that even my husband has struggled with because he works in construction with his business and it's, it's go, go, go all the time. And it's very daunting. It's very stressful. And there's a, like just a whole lack of control. Like he gets up early, he goes to work, he comes home at suppertime and it repeats.
And I forget how privileged I am for working for myself because I'll hear it from other people who are students, whether they're nurses working shift work, or just having like a normal 9 to 5 grind and kids, and you're just like, I forget I used to have to ask permission to do what I want. Like, that is worth way more to me.
than anything. [01:03:00] Like, it's just so funny because even coming from corporate, just you saying that I was like, Oh God, I had to ask permission for holidays or to go to the doctor. And I said, okay, that I'm sick. I have to go to walk in today. Like it blows my mind where it's like that energy is that false sense of security, right?
Like, Oh, I hope it's okay. It's like, but if you just own your energy, like, no, I need this for myself today. That is so hard for people because it's been beaten out of them their whole life. It's like, it's okay to rest. Rest is productive. Your work's actually better if you take the time to rest. Yeah, and you said something there too that just made me really think it's looking at what we're able to do because my boyfriend also he's an electrician and he does residential stuff.
So the weather's been shit and they've been out there doing this stuff in the freezing cold and I'm sitting here going, Yeah, I'm in my nice warm office. Comfy. But we take that for granted for sometimes. [01:04:00] It's like, oh, forgot. It's the I have to versus the I get to. And that's a good note to end this on.
It's like, when it comes to energetics, and you're like, what are energetics? Look at the way you feel when you say, oh, I have to do this versus, oh, I get to do this. It's a very different energy. You want to talk about good vibes, actually tune into how you're feeling because your feelings mean more than your thoughts, if that makes sense.
Your thoughts contribute to your feelings, but when you're stuck in that, whatever you're thinking doesn't really matter. It's your feelings that's coming from here. You have to tune into that. You have to actually listen. And if you find yourself always having the not so great feelings, just take a step back and start to explore, like, what's the belief that's driving this?
And what would feel good to me right now? Yes, because every second of every day we get to make a choice about how we want to feel. And it actually is that simple. You can choose, like in any argument. You can choose to [01:05:00] hold a grudge. You can choose to talk it out. You can choose to walk away and let it go.
You have a choice. You have a choice. Yes, that is a powerful way to end this. You have a choice. You really do. That's a good spot to leave it. I like that. I love that. Yeah, I love that. Some powerful shit right there, Brenda. I agree.
